“When we receive him in our hearts, Christ makes himself present and takes shape in our lives. It is He who prays, forgives, infuses hope, serves the brothers most in need, creates communion and seeds peace in our lives. It is He who does that!”
Pope Francis

EDUCATION: Formed in His Communion

Rite of Christian Initiation

Mother Seton's Rite of Christian Initiation strives to educate the mind and heart through authentic instruction and lived experience. St. Elizabeth Ann Seton herself was a convert to the full life of the Church.

RCIA is the process by which people are invited to explore the possibility of becoming members of the Roman Catholic Church. It is also the process by which adult baptized Catholics may complete their initiation by preparing for the reception of the Sacraments of Eucharist and Confirmation. Those who have been Baptized in another Christian faith and who wish to come into full communion with the Catholic Christianity are invited into the RCIA process as well. RCIA classes are held on Tuesday evenings, from 7:30 to 9:30 pm, in the Paul VI Room.

For more information please email Deacon Raul Calvo at RCIA@MotherSetonParish.org or call 301-924-3838, ext. 226.
