Easter Sunday: The Resurrection of the Lord, is an opportunity to show the world that we are leading lives rooted in love, sincerity and truth.
Through the waters of Baptism, we die with Christ to sin and rise with Him to new life. Let us mark ourselves as both Easter people and disciples of Jesus by leading lives of sincerity and truth, and by seeking the treasures of heaven.
Today’s psalm reminds us that on this Easter Sunday it is fitting to rejoice and be glad as we celebrate Jesus’ resurrection from the dead. In the Gospel, we hear how Easter joy and hope spread among the disciples as they received news of the empty tomb. On this day, of all days, may our hearts be filled with wonder and joy!
Readings are from: Acts 10:34a, 37-43; Colossians 3:1-4 or 1 Corinthians 5:6b-8; and John 20: 1-9 or Matthew 28:1-10.
