CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS for Tax Year 2009: We sincerely appreciate your patience with the difficulty we're experiencing. As you know, there was a major database failure in our office computer system that caused the loss of contribution information for a great many families. The problem is extensive, and will take us many weeks to correct. We've hired a temp to work on re-entering the information and we ask your indulgence as we try to resolve this issue. For the time being, please use your own records to calculate your total contributions to our parish for the period between January and December 2009.
Thanks, Fr. Mark

Monthly Mortgage Collection - How Are We Doing?
![]()
Over the past 3 and a half years, the monthly second collection for the mortgage payment covered, on average, only 75% of the actual payment amount.
During Lent, we ask all parishioners to reevaluate their level of giving for the monthly second collection for the mortgage payment and make every effort to increase their level of giving.
Where possible, we ask every family to contribute a minimum of $10 per month to the monthly second collection for the mortgage payment. We need everyone’s participation in this effort.
Thank you for your continued kind stewardship and generosity towards our wonderful Mother Seton parish.

Lenten Rules of Fasting and Abstinence: Fasting means a limit of one full meal for all adults between the ages of 18 and 59. On fast days, two additional smaller meals are permitted, but together they may not equal one full meal. Eating solid foods between meals on fast days is not permitted, but liquids including milk and fruit juices are allowed. Abstinence prohibits the eating of meat (beast or fowl), but not eggs, milk products, or condiments of any kind even though made from animal fat. This obligation is for all Catholics 14 years old and older. All Fridays during Lent are days of abstinence, and Good Friday is a day of fasting and abstinence.

SHARE IN HOPE FOOD DRIVE: Hunger remains one of the region's most prevalent issues facing families. If you take a bag today, please return it next weekend filled with food. Simple actions can make a big difference to our brothers and sisters in need. Thank you for your participation.

A MESSAGE ABOUT GOLGOTHA:
Everyone knows that producing and staging a dramatic play is an expensive undertaking, even on a small scale such as ours. Yet, even before rehearsals began, all those involved in the project agreed that NO PARISH FUNDS WILL BE REQUESTED OR USED FOR THIS PRODUCTION. God is helping us to keep that promise through many generous donations and significant fundraising. We're very grateful to all those who have demonstrated their confidence in us. We hope and pray that the work we offer will be pleasing to the Lord, and of benefit to his beloved people. God bless you all!
