EUCHARISTIC ADORATION: Held Mon.-Fri.: 9:00a.m. to 9:30 p.m., in
the Divine Mercy Chapel, lower level of the Church. Come spend some
time daily with Our Lord in the Divine Mercy Chapel. On First Fridays, Adoration is held all day in the church, from 8:30 a.m. until 6:45 p.m.
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is recited at 3 p.m. Benediction is
celebrated at 6:45 p.m. followed by Mass at 7 p.m. The Chapel is closed on holidays. Have your family portrait taken in the Parish Center on Fri., Jan. 20, or Sat., Jan. 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Other dates are Jan. 24 to 27, from 2 to 9:30 p.m.; Sat., Jan. 28, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Jan. 31 to Feb. 3 from 2 to 9:30 p.m.; and Sat., Feb. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Each family will receive a free 8 x 10, or a CD of proofs. MARYLAND BISHOPS ISSUE STATEMENT ON POVERTY: Maryland is one of the wealthiest states in the nation, yet, in Baltimore City, one in four residents lives in poverty and, statewide, one in five Maryland households with children reported not having enough money to feed themselves or their families. Maryland’s bishops have issued a statement urging Catholics to help their neighbors living in poverty. RESULTS OF GIVING TREE: Mother Seton Sodality is proud to announce that because of the extreme generosity of our parishioners, the Sodality collected approximately 800 toys and more than $2,100 in gift cards, all of which were given to Germantown HELP to assist them with the Holiday Basket Program for the Germantown area. Thanks to all who participated in this collection throughout the month of December. Your generosity helped make for a Merry Christmas for many adults and children in our community.

MEN’S VOCATION RETREAT: Cardinal Wuerl is sponsoring a Men’s Vocation Retreat in February 2012 for men in their 20's to 40's who are considering a call to the priesthood. The weekend will be held at the new Blessed John Paul II Seminary, beginning Fri., Feb. 10, and ending at noon on Sun., Feb. 12. The retreat will allow men time away from the daily grind and an opportunity for prayer and reflection to examine God’s call. If you feel Jesus may be calling you, why not give Him a weekend?
