A close-up from the memorial
shown above showing a framed tribute to the
officers of the New York Police Department lost at
the World Trade Cetner. It reads:
"On September 11, 2001, 23
courageous NYPD Officers, putting the safety of
others before their own, went to the burning towers
of the World Trade Center to aid their fellow New
Yorkers. They have not returned.
Their Actions exemplify all
that is good about mankind, but especially about
the NYPD. As we continue to search for these
heroes, let us all take a moment a moment to keep
them in our prayers." |
